been making sure i do not catch any buttons at all during power off/on, it would boot up, vibrate once and go into silent mode, vibrate again and go into virbate mode.
then i though.. hmm new phone. now i did install all my apps onto this but didn't set them up.
then the penny dropped.
daft **** here put the sd card in today and it holds the settings for timerriffic.

What surprises me is that people still turn their phone off. I don't know why it does it's just I never turn my phone off, last time it got turned off was 3 weeks ago when I updated it to ICS
well i dont turn off but i got ported yesterday so i had to power cycle it

sorry to hijack the topic a bit but i'll reboot my sg2 depending on how much RAM is available. even with closing down applications properly, some (facebook app is the biggest culprit) will still use 40+mb of RAM even after the program has been closed properly
Don't blame the phone you thicko.
I had same issue. I have a chinese iphone copy whiich looks identical to the iphone in every way except it's android 2.3.3 It was going to silent mode by itself, or so I thought. When the the phone goes to sleep it is not in silent mode. Soon as you wake it up it is in silent mode. The reason for this is the top button above the volume buttons used for wake up has another function, it switches silent mode on or off depending what state it's in before you press it to wake up. So your phone is asleepand you wake it up by pressing the button...... you have just put it in silent mode without knowing. To fix the problem, if the vibrate indicator is showing on the toolbar press the wakeup button and it's sorted. So simple isn't it, but it foxed me for weeks. Also , now I don't use that button, I use the power button instead. A quick press wakes it up or puts it to bed and it does't affect the mode.
Does your phone continue to vibrate even when it's off cos I've got that issue
nope, dropped timerrific for profile scheduler+
