    Cool Best Phone Tracking app

Is there an app on Android that can track your phone by sending back co-ordinates on google maps via a text on the receipt of a text from you AND be able to turn on GPS when that text is received?

Wheres my Droid is soemthing like this but cant enable GPS by itself.

    Re: Best Phone Tracking app

google seemed to have patched out apps being able to turn on GPS.

samsung have there own built in, i also have kaspersky installed that can do the same but have never tried it.

Thanks both. Time to test them out.

Apps should be able to turn on GPS on demand. Leaving GPS on all the time seriously drains the battery.

Sorry, but I can't posts URLs, apparently. Check out Prey (Prey Project).

It lets you track your phone, locate it, lock it, wipe it (and you can do it with laptops and other devices too).

You can activate it either online or via text when you lose the device.

Cerberus is also worth a look, particularly if you have root.
Most of the functionality works without root, but the additional pushes it over the top.

Lookout does tracking, but not sure if it will switch on GPS. It does have the facility to make the phone scream remotely...
