Bluetooth file transfer to Galaxy Tab

I am trying to send a file from my Galaxy S2 to my Galaxy Tab 2 10.1

the devices are paired

I initiate the transfer on the SGS2 and it says it's sending the file.

No progress meter on the SGS2

I get no reaction from the Tab

I get no errors on the SGS2

I get no errors on the Tab

No file is transfered.

Could this be because I don't have a microsd card in the Tab?

Gave up in the end and ended up installing third party apps to do it.

Should not have needed to though since I can transfer files to and from mine and my wife's phone fine via bluetooth
