    iOS or iPhone terminology

    Hi guys,

I'm writing an app that displays a large number of apps from both Android and iPhone. The app isn't for technical folk and so I don't want to confuse people by using iOS if most people don't know what it is. Android is pretty well known so I'm not so worried about that.

So, we all know what iOS is but what about your friends and family? Should I use iOS, iPhone & iPad* or Apple to help people understand what platform each app is available on?

    Thanks!

*my least favourite option - it's more descriptive but much more problematic for me.

    Re: iOS or iPhone terminology

iPhone and iPad is iOS so mentioning them together like that is a bad idea

I would stick with Apple or Apple iOS

What I meant was that I'd say EITHER iPad or iPhone depending what the app worked on.

Apple iOS seems like the best idea (why didn't I think of that! )
