Huawei Y300 dual core for £60

Does anyone have any experience of this phone? I'd like to know if it's worth the upgrade from the Huawei Ascend G500. The small amount of RAM worries me a touch.

It should be fine for most general tasks. But in games it might slow down a bit due to less ram.

I had the G300 and the Y300 is a big improvement let me tell you! It can be a little laggy somtimes but as I don't play many games I can't comment on that aspect (Angrybirds SW2 plays fine)

It should be getting CM based on Android 4.3 this weekend over at modaco so who knows what speed improvements that will provide.

What other phones are you looking at for £60 that are comparable to the Y300?

My stepson has a Y300, and it works just fine for him including a variety of games (minecraft and some infection-spreading thing, mainly). He;s had absolutely no complaints about the performance at all, so I'd say it's a perfectly good phone.

That said, asuming you're talking about this Huawei Ascend G500, the Y300 is actually a downgrade - the CPU is a little slower (being based on the low-power A5 core rather than the performance A9 core), it has less RAM and the screen is smaller/lower resolution.

Huawei Y300 is more update than Huawei G500.But according to configuration(Battery,RAM,Video pixel) Huawei G500 is better than Huawei Y300.For general task its good.but not suitable for gaming due to low ram.
