Looking for non-expiring UK Sim-only deal with low text costs

It 's not for calls it's for a GPS tracker - so I'd like low SMS costs (it sends an SMS with it's location) and a long expiry period (I'm probably not going to use it every day, and even when I do use it will only activate it if the thing I attach it to gets lost).

Any suggestions?

I'd recommend GiffGaff [who run on the O2 network], there's no expiry of PAYG credit, 6p SMS to UK mobiles.

I have a PAYG O2 SIM that gives 500MB web & Wifi and 500 texts, as long as I top up £10. I don't make make many calls so it's perfect for me. Also, I always let it run past the free texts date and use up the credit before I top up to get the 500/500 allowance again, so that £10 usually lasts about 7-8 weeks.

I can't find a contract deal that comes close to that but, as I said, I don't make many calls on my mobile.

o2, are good but talkmobile have some brilliant ones as well if not better. do not mix them up with talktalk. They use vodafone's signal.

An eclectic choice is Ovivo. They run off the Vodafone network and they offer 150 mins, 250 texts and 500mb of data per month for a one-off £20 fee. There are no more monthly charges. I understand that they put ads in websites you browse on data but if you aren't using that, and your GPS won't go over 250 texts a month, it may be an alternative.

If you go with 3 then when they upgrade to 4g you won't have to pay anymore whereas everyone else is a lot more expensive

Yes, because having 4g is of the utmost importance when sending SMS messages
