Girlfriend has an Iphone 5 her father was given by a colleague as an unwanted upgrade at his work (big London firm). We are unable to turn it on, have no proof of purchase but it is within warranty for another 2 months.
How much use will Apple be without proof of purchase. What worries me is the fact I have little more then someone who nicked the phone & now can't get into it. I don't even know who owned the phone originally, why it was given to her Dad and I am unlikely to find out. In this firm this phone is small fry & her father wont want the hassle of bothering people for details from several months ago.
Can anyone suggest why it isn't holding charge or turning on, and if not can comment on Apples Customer Service requirements?
cheers guys
