My wife's cousin has come to visit us and her iPhone has gone into recovery mode. If I connect this to my PC and recover it in iTunes will she lose all of her information/pictures/data etc...?

Please respond soon. I doubt she has been backing up her data, most people I know don't prepare for disaster recover until after the disaster.
