Can I connect my galaxy tab 3 to a tv with a mhl to hdmi adapter? I was told in the shop I could, but the adapter (which says it works with an s3), does not show the picture on my tv. I have since read some posts saying the tab 3 can not be played on a tv.
Please help me before I take the tab 3 back.

I have the tesco tablet (used £60 points to get it) and that does hdmi flawlessly, has a dedicated port for it so you can charge and play at the same tome. Only negative is that you cant natively turn the screen off, needs a 3rd party app.
Decided to take the tab 3 back tomorrow, and get the Tesco one. Are you able to install apps from unknow sources? I know on Samsung devices there is an option in security to allow it.
What do you mean by can't turn the screen of? Sounds odd it can't be turned off.
Yes you can side load, just need to change the setting thats in security. Very surprised how little tesco branding is on them, seems to be limited to the T thing on the bottom of the screen, will probably root it at some point anyway and get rid of that. Wife now has my old nexus 7.
Thanks for the info :-) Can't understand why Samsung can not be played on a tv screen, and yet tesco have managed it.
