I see you have one of the leather backs - how are you finding it? Is it good quality leather, or really cheap feeling?

To be honest it's pretty nice, feels good quality and not cheap feeling although there's no padding in it. Also as you can see got a free gold one, not so nice I dont think and I also qualified for 100Gb of Google Drive storage free for 2 years. Final bonus is that it appears that my phone while having some Vodafone customisation & apps is an International version (LG-H815) and so I can officially unlock the bootloader via the LG dev page.

I got 100GB with my chrome book - been a godsend. I backup everything to it now, other than games etc

Looks like a great phone! How does it compare to your Z3 out of the box speed wise?

Speed wise it's about the same or slightly slower in transitions however it's not buttery smooth like the Z3 is, there are some stutters and lag issues when opening apps or scrolling through screens which is a bit annoying and is random when it happens. If anything it just goes to show how good a phone the Z3 is, however the camera on the G4 would appear to be as good as the reviews say.

    Re: LG G4 Leaks

That's interesting. Maybe the GPU isn't up to the job of pushing 1440p, or because Sony's xperia UI is much lighter and thus easier to power.

Knowing LG I'm sure it's a software issue and as you say Sony's UI is much lighter, also I've noticed that since installing Nova Launcher and using that I haven't seen any issues although it's only been a couple of hours.

    Re: LG G4 Leaks

From what I've read, LG don't do very well with skins. I must admit, Sony UI is by far the best, second to stock. Though before I sold my Z3, I made sure it worked etc and really liked it, to the point where if it allowed custom icons, I'd have happily used it (if I didn't have a OnePlus).

Even though the oneplus is a great phone, especially for the money, I would have definitely paid 50 pounds more for metal build and matte finish on the back. Really miss Sony build quality.

    Re: LG G4 Leaks

Just seen the price of the G4, £530!! That is SIM free and from one seller, but still....

You can get an iPhone 5s for less than that!

Not really a valid comparison in any way shape or form though is it???

iPhone 5s is nearly 2 years old, and the tech is even older. The price of G4 when it's 2 years old (not 2 days old) will be nearer £200 I reckon

Plus thankfully I didn't pay anywhere near that due to staff discount.

It's valid in that both are fully functional and still do the job they were designed to do, and both are available from the mfr, but if you look at the iPhone 6, it is only around £70 more.

However if you are getting a staff discount, that would sweeten the pill!
