+1 for Google Maps.
Even when we were travelling abroad, when we had wifi we'd load up the route on the phone and it would happily continue with the directions offline.
When we reached our destination, we'd just get some wifi and load up the next
-1 for google maps.
Liverpool city center totally confused it and I had to manually find where I was going. Bit dissapointed really.
Waze. Heavy battery usage, however, and consequently makes my 'phone overheat & shut down when it's in bright sunlight because my work van doesn't have A/C

Have been using co-pilot for ooo years, originally on windows mobile, now on android. I have paid the extra for traffic updates but only renew if doing a long trip. One of those apps that's just worked perfectly for me on several phones, over many years.
