    Cheap phone/tablet as Sonos controller

Hi folks, been using an ancient Android device as a Sonos controller until recently where the Sonos app needs later versions of Android. I'm now after a very cheap phone or small tablet to do the same job, nothing else. Ideally it would have Marshmallow or Nougat to give me a good few years of life so wondered if anyone could give me any pointers please? Thanks

Worth seeing if the old device has any updated cyanogen/lineage builds you could install before spending money?

Yeah, good tip. However when I tell you that the device is a Dell Streak mobile phone from around 2010, with O2 branding, I wonder if anyone can help?

Think that might be going a bit far back. Streak 5 is it? The xda-developers forum only had a few updates last year and nothing this year. Might be worth looking for something second hand? I'm still rocking a first gen Moto G as my main phone on the latest LineageOS. Worth taking a look at the list to see what's supported: https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/.

I think a used Xiaomi should fit your needs.
