    Two phones one number.

Does anyone know a good way to have two devices both use the same number and support phone/sms?

WiFI calling apps? V/ToLTE? Some other voodoo?

Like many people I'm bored with modern phones. I've been eyeing up the Nokia 8110 4g as a bit of fun but can't give up Android just yet (apps for work and watch).

Worst case I could have the calls/texts on the Nokia and everything else on an Android but I've got used to my watch vibrating when I recieve a text/call and consider that to be by far the best feature of a smartwatch, if the call/text alerts don't make it to the Android device I lose that function.

    Suggetions?

EE do an account with two SiMs on one number. It primarily aimed at the IPhone Iwatch combination where the watch has its own access to data via a SIM.

Don’t know how that would work with two phones - maybe if one is only used for data?

    Might be worth a look.

A possibility but I'm not sure that works with SMS. Also you would be replying/returning calls with a different number.

    Re: Two phones one number.

This is technically possible from what I've seen, though I haven't ever seen it in the UK. Former colleague of mine out in the Netherlands has/had exactly this with Vodafone (work phone and car phone - 911 has a SIM slot..).

I think the limitation was he had to nominate one of the SIMs be "primary", so the other was like a failover if one was switched off. They'd never ring at the same time.

Had a quick google round, doesn't look like you'll get that functionality in the UK (some networks seem to have offered it in the past, but not now). Unless you are a big business spender with your network..?

I was thinking forward to the android - so you get the smart watch notification, but you'd still call/text from the nokia.

    Re: Two phones one number.

This is the EE plan for the Apple watch and iphone - both devices share the same phone number

    https://shop.ee.co.uk/apple-watch-series-3.html#works

There is an 0800 number you can call to see if it would work with your planned set up.

Oh very interesting, thanks. I wonder if that is done with the esim in some way.. are all devices with esim capable of this? Hopefully it is not just some apple only thing. Maybe I'll have some time visit the EE store tomorrow.

The call forwarding is certainly worth a try. Nokia might not ring though.

I'm sorry but you don't need this on your smartphone. Maybe you should search any app that has the same functionality. IDK if it exists.
