Oppo & Oneplus could stop selling in Europe

I've been eyeing up the Oneplus 11 for a little while and last week decided to go for it.

But it's been difficult finding anywhere other than Amazon to buy it, even Oneplus direct do not have any stock of any phone and haven't for a good month or two.
Oppo's website lists 3 for sale despite having a massive range. This suggests that these products do not infringe on the patent. But their flagships are nowhere to be seen.

Since August last year Nokia have filed a patent claim over 5G technology. It looks like the fees Nokia are demanding are too high and Oppo look to be pulling out of the European market.
Rumour currently suggests it's only UK, Germany, Netherlands and France at this stage, but eventually could be the rest of Europe.

Re: Oppo & Oneplus could stop selling in Europe

For all that some companies abuse iP laws (like patent trolling), there are also cases where certain manufacturers, often from certain places, ignore the living hell out of other company's hard work, and IP rights. Does that include Oppo and OnePlus? I have no idea, but if it does, then I have no sympathy and if they pull out of Europe as a result, then my feelings are limited to "don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out".

Either way, personally, I wouldn't touch either.

    The outcome will be interesting.
Against my better judgement I've gone ahead and bought one.
Nothing else tickles my fancy at that price range and my OP6 is in need of retiring.
Though I will be converting it to LineageOS as a bit of an experiment.

I absolutely loved my oneplus. If I wasn't some integrated into the Apple ecosystem would have loved to have gone back to them.

Shame they are pulling out of Europe :/
