Just in case you haven't decided yet and if you can hang on a week or so assuming you're going on a contract. I've been looking at the 6680 thats just coming out everywhere and damn that looks like a nice phone. I might have to get the 3230 as an upgrade to my current phone but if I can get it I'd get the 6680.

I got a k700i last year as an upgrade. I had it a week and was very un-impressed, it seemed so flimsy and easily breakable compared to my old trusty nokia 7210. I phoned them up and they sent me a Sharp GX30, which was nice but worth too much on ebay so it just had to go! The best thing was vodafone didnt pick up the k700i so i ebayed that 6 months down the line too and kept my old and very tatty 7210.

Im looking at a new another upgrade next month and i think the 6230i is going to be it. I havnt seen one phone that takes impressive pics, video is a waste of time, mp3 players... I'll leave that to apple. I did also consider the D500 but my phone is in and out of my pocket a lot and i read the screen is not as solid on the D500 as the nokia which sealed its fate. But, as said above. If you want to flog it go for the one that sells for most

The D500 is an awful phone, I dont know why people continue to talk so highly about it. I had one for a week, and I hated it.

Only 90mb of memory on the handset, and not possible to use MMC/SD cards. The video quality is poor, and is the photo quality compared to the latest phones like the Nokia 6680.

The phone of choice has to be the Nokia 6680 IMO, I have been using it for the past 2 days, it has brilliant photo quality, and brilliant video quality, plus a lot more features than the D500.

If u cant get that, go for the 6230i, I think its better than the D500.

mate the d500 is a very good phone ... if mp3 playing is not a priority.. of course it doesn't have the expandable memory .. but it does have a very good camera .... and is very small ... unlike the 6680. it all depends on what you want out of a phone ... i do agree that the 6230i is probably a better phone ... but that wasn't out when i got my d500. the phone to get next month will be the se k750i anyway ... and my probable upgrade path. i really hate big phones ... phones should be small and do there job well.

No, but one of my best freinds from uni used to be quite high up in network services at thier Leeds site. He has left now for another programming job, but still got a few useful contacts
