    Mobile TomTom

Is TomTom Mobile worth investing in? For example if you buy for Nokia symbian based phone and at your next upgrade you get may decide on MDA compact which is windows based, will you be able to port it over simply by sticking memory card into new phone or should i get the actual standalone unit.

    From my experience...

You should be able to run Tomtom on any new symbian phone as 99% of the files are stored on the memory card. There is usually a small installation file to run once to create the icons on phone menu. So, yes it almost as simple as sticking the card into new phone unless they change the type of memory card! The RS MMC from 7610 would not work in new 6680 which takes DV RS MMC.

Battery life is not so gud running tomtom on your phone, keep that car charger handy! Smaller screen too, relying more on the audio. On the other hand it is a cheap way to give tomtom a try if you are interested but don't wish to spend £250 for a standalone unit.
