    K750i + 2Gb Sony MS Pro Duo

I bought a 2Gb sony branded card from Ebay - UK seller. Cost me £32.00 delivered. However I'm experiencing problems getting it to work with my K750i...tried the card in a mates K750i with the same results, and tried his 64Mb MS Duo (note not 'pro') in my phone and that worked fine.

Issue definately seems to be with the memory card, just wondering if there's a limit on the size of the card that the phone will recognise? The card seems to function normally when in a card reader (can browse, download/upload files to it no problem).

Don't fancy asking for a replacement from the seller if the same thing is going to happen, just wondered if you have any suggestions - the phone is brand new and has the latest software update installed.

Although, it may be a dodgy card, 32inc seems incrediably cheap for a 2gb duo, and 95% on ebay are fakes, so

    Here's the item on ebay:

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...tem=7606065616

As you can see the feedback should be acceptable....I just got a good deal that's all.

As you can see the card appears to be an official product and was sealed on delivery. Although it's obviously a Japanese import. I'm going to give the seller to the end of the weekend to reply to my e-mail then I'm going to leave negative feedback if he does reply.

As you can see the seller also states it works with the K750i and has even put a picture of the phone in the details....

    EDIT:

    O I give up it's bloody working now - it's very tempremental.

    EDIT 2:

And now it's stopped repsonding again.....christ....

Looks fake, from the listing how he covers up part of the packaging, from your picture, I cant tell too much, is the PSP circle at the top with jap writing on melted it? Or is it a sticker? A sticker is normally a tell tale sign of a fake

I think the limit for the K750i is 2Gb too. Get it in a card reader on a PC and format it. Then put it back in the phone and find the menu option and 'initialize' it. Might be worth updating the phones firmware too, i think there was some issues with early versions.

I'm sorry to have to break it to you mate but that's a fake. You can tell from the packaging. One of the telltale signs of a fake MS Pro Duo is when the packaging is sealed with spots of glue. The real Sony ones are press sealed with a line all the way round.

Also, the real Sony ones dont have a PSP circle on the packaging.

Oh so it isn't.. I got my wires crossed, it's the S700 with the 1GB limit.

From the looks of that image it isn't glued, it's just spot sealed at regular intervals (the sealed part is probably in a waffle type pattern), besides the glue points are too symmetrical to just be glued.

I've had problems with both my K750 and S700 with it not registering the card, and they were the offical cards that come with the phones, I'm not sure if it's the design of the phones, the memory sticks, or just buggy firmware that is to blame..

edit: that seller is taking the pee a bit.. £15 postage for a memory stick??

Have you contacted the seller? Looking at his feedback, he does not seem that bad. Possible even he did not know it was a fake.

Emailed him twice now....first time was on the 5th ....and again this morning I've told him my concerns and that if I don't receive a reply by Monday I'll be leaving negative feedback and taking this further.

(He's obviously been around because if you check his items he's sold items AFTER mine...)

I also have his address which was printed on the envelope

If he doesn't seem too co-operative, maybe see how he reacts to Sony coming down on him?
