    "Permanant" answer phone message symbol.

I'm sure there's a simple solution to this, but...

For the last 2 weeks, I've had a "new answer phone message" symbol on my phone screen (6030).
I have rung 123 several times, and I definately have no messages at all - new or saved.
How, then, can I get rid of the symbol? I thought it would leave of it's own accord, but no...
Tried removing/replacing battery, removing/replacing sim, and swearing louder.
My next plan is to hit it harder, and if that fails, use more gaffa tape.

    Anyone got a better idea?

Orange has often had problems with this. I'm afraid you will have to phone customer services and have it reset. You could try leaving yourself an answerphone message and then deleting it.

If you had asked me 5 months ago when I still worked at Orange, I could have got it sorted. Mine was the next team along from the Voicemail support team.

    Cheers,
    Stephen
