    Mobile Phone warranty

If you have a SE mobile phone bought 6 months ago and it stops working, the shop wont accept it, can you send it to Sony Ericcson for replacement?

where did you get it from? are you under contract with them?

I would have thought by law the shop should have to do something about it.

They are saying it looks like water and that they cannot do anything. So buggered.

Isn't anything that goes faulty with in 6 months deemed inherrantly faulty, i.e faulty at time of sale and as such you can request a replacement phone - obviously if it did just stop working for no reason - not because you did something like drop it or spill your bear on it!

Do SE have service centres like nokia? maybe take it to one of them if they do

The shop should send it to the warrenty centre for you (hayes technology I think for sonyericsson), or at least give you the contact info. If it is liquid ingress you will either get the phone back as you sent it or not at all and could be charged for the privelage. Or ofcourse you may get a phone back that has been repaired
    Rhyth is selling:
Tamron 17-50mm F2.8 XR Di ll LD Aspherical (IF) £230 +pp
    Canon 50mm 1.8 II £50 +pp
    Proven good copies.

There seems to have been a slight change in the 12 month cover that is usually given in shops for electronic items..

now its all 30 days from purchase then YOU (customer) has to send it back to manufacturer.. etc (unless its via online shopping afaik) I bought an xbox from woolies a while back... it went gaga within 14 days so got a replacement... took another one back after 5 months and was told.. No! send it back to MS... tried telling porkies and said they (MS) said to take it back to shop they (woolies staff) said "They are lying". complained to online woolies.. they told me to send it back to woolies store. I made sure i asked for a telephone number incase of problems.. was right to ask for this as i made sure they rang the number after they had refused...

Stating was never told this 30 days and any faulty items must be sent back (their reciepts state "if faulty within 12 months being it back" and do not mention it applies to woolies own items only)

Then! the customer rep had the cheek to say "Well this time we will make an exception!" gah! i wouldnt want to get anything from there again... unless its woolies OWN brand they its covered by their 12 month warranty.. **apparently**

Best advice is to complain.. if it is not a local shop and something like carphone warehouse, the link complain to heck and make sure **they** send it back for you.
