I have this phone, and i have all the setting from wap to email working (which is pretty cool), you need to ring them so they can run you through the email settings and wap settings, as its a bit of a pain ... but yeah loving the phone tbh ..

The headphone socket is on the microphone part of the handsfree kit. You can use any set of headphones with the handsfree, in other words.

I have just got the w810i and put my PAYG sim in. Works great but can't get the GPRS working. I have downloaded the settings from the SE site but they seem to be contract settings. I have tried the o2 website but the w810i isn't listed in the settings. I tried the w800 settings but my phone won't receive the settings.

I have also tried to input the settings manually but still no luck.

    Any suggestions??

I don't want to phone o2 as it is an online sim and it costs a fortune.

I would say that GPRS is not provisioned onto your SIM card. Which means a call to O2, I'm afraid. Unless the SIM works with GPRS in another phone?

    This any good to you?

    O2
    Session Type Continuous/Permanent
    Security Off
    Gateway Address
    Port number 9201
    DNS Address 193.113.200.200 193.113.200.201

    Authentication Normal

    Access Point Name
    PAYG mobile.o2.co.uk
    payandgo.o2.co.uk *

    Mail server (SMTP)
    PAYG smtp.o2.co.uk
    payandgo.o2.co.uk

    Mail server (POP3) mail.o2.co.uk

    Username mobileweb
    PAYG payandgo

    Password password
    PAYG payandgo

I'll try those settings, I had no problems on my D500 so I do have it set up on the SIM. Those settings are different to the one's I found elsewhere so hopefully they'll work.

    Thanks

I have tried the settings and it is getting there but still won't connect. Before when I clicked oin the o2 active icon in the menu it automatically said connection failure. Now it starts to load with the egg timer in the top right corner but then it times out. Same happens if I try to use the internet icon.

Strnge thing is that when I use the news reader it downloads the news and I assume that uses the GPRS

    Any suggestions??

I used to have gmail setup on my K750i, you need to use mobileweb with O2, not normal gprs.

My upgrade's due in 2 day but think i'm gonna wait for the K800i. Due about mid-end July on O2 afaik, probably means beginining-mid august but i want a change from the K750i so not planning on getting the W810i
