    Impressed with SE Walkman

Wow, what can I say im seirously impressed.
Just picked up a w900i, its firmware is ancient so ill have to do something about that on da vinici or something, but wow the music quality is just so damn good.
Is this how good ipods and stuff are supposed to sound? I cant believe ive been relying on smartphones allt hese years for my music and this quality of sound ive been missing out on!

Ive barely got it at half volume and already its ample loud as my p990 and n93 etc used to go - and the quality is so damn good.

Problem is the w900 walkman i hear is 1.0 version or something yet the w850 ships with a newer version that supports album art, which I guess wont be backported and I think thats a damn shame since the w900 spec wise is the highest of walkmans with qvga 30fps video recording, 3d acceleration and larger screen etc etc.

Still , anyone hear wish to share their opinions of other walkman phones?
I was looking at the w850 but despite gaining its improved walkman player , u lose qvga recording for 176x 144 recording, and the camera has no autofocus! One step forward, two steps backward!

I guess ill upgrade the firmware and sit tight til a autofocusing walkman 2.0 phone comes along Anyone here got a w900i with latest firmware? R50001B or something, any improvements noted?

    Still, any comments most welcomed

The w850i i was looking at that, looks very tempting you lucky swine uve got the updated walkman app on there Im stuck on the orangey 1.0 app - and my radio is headset controlled, i have no radio app unless im missing something, if you can tell me where your radio shows up feel free lol

But the w850i camera, whats that like - i hear there is no autofocus and that hte video recording is quite poor (no offence) then again I guess if you're really into music there isnt really anything better...
Only reluctant to move from the w900 due to it seemingly being a jack of all trades what with its 470mb internal, autofocusing camera all.

Share some info on the w850 in the time you've used it?

the radio for me mate is located next to the phone book icon on the main menu

the camera is a bit poor (just testing it now!!) like you said it dosent seem to autofocus like the w800i did i just snaps the picture, but as i mentioned earlier i dont use the camera at all so it dosent really bother me to much.

On a whole the w850i is an awesome phone and the walkman is def out of this world the updated features are really good. A few small issues with the phone would be the poor light on the back, we've gone from 2 LED's to 1 so the flash isnt up to much but then again neither is the camera so they go hand in hand.

Also the phone unlocks and autolocks when the slider is used, so if u open it the device unlocks and vice versa, however when you close the slider it only locks when your not using a menu (so basically the home page or whatever you call it!) which is annoying.

The amount of times ive shut the slider and its been on the main menu, and its not locked then put it in my pocket i pulled it out 2 hours later to find it had connected to WAP

I think i may be sticking to the walkman series or at least music oriented phones from now on No radio app for me by the looks *sigh* Really loving the music quality, but my battery life is crap and my firmware is too old to turn off 3G - i have a wontan credit but atm the server is down so i still cant upgrade :/
