how do you protect your mobile?

Been looking at different ways to protect mine from potential damage. On both my phones(k800i and N80i),I have been using clear hard plastic to protect them. Only prob is that both of the cases have failed as the clips that secure the cases snapped on both of them as they are only thin plastic. Could be because I got them off ebay.

Anyway, looking for a better option. Already have screen protectors on them but looking for other options to stop phones getting damaged without doubling the thickness.

What does everyone else use to protect their phones?

I'm looking for something that I can use the phone when it's on, so having to take the phone out of the case to use it is a no go. Also don't want anything that is going to make the phone bulky.

I do know everything, just not all at once. It's a virtual memory problem.

I did have a MDA Vario (HTC Wizard) which I kept in a semi-soft case, but it didn't help when I dropped it on the floor and broke it. Back to an old Orange C500 (HTC something else) which I just stick in my pocket. The only time I worry about it is when I stick it in a bag with keys and the like.

Screen protector and a fairly hard leather case.

Doesn't really help when I drop it though.

I was gunna suggest those skins you can get - similar to the ones for iPods & the like.

Personally, as I change my phone every 12/18months, I don't really bother. Also, picking decent phones (such as the k700/k750 & then the k800i) they are more durable than some phones I've seen (Samsung anyone?).

My k800i is pretty solid, but I like to keep it shiny for when I get to sell it

I had clear plastic cases for my k800i, but they all broke after a short while. I also found that dust etc built up behind the screen, and it looked a bit tatty...

I've now got my phone naked, it's smaller and the scratches etc that it has picked up just give it a bit of "character", I feel.

Nothing. I've always just replaced the actual casing of the phone when it gets too bad.

not as easy with the newer phones now though. I did this for my T10 and it was very easy. looked at doing it for my S700i phone and you would have had to disconnect circuits and move different things and reconnect. Not to comfortable doing that in view of the fact that phones are so darn expensive now. The more complicated phones get, the more difficult it will be.

extra casing just annoys me as they make the device fatter and harder to use. I just try to keep it in a different pocket to anything likely to scratch the screen. Plus phones are getting cheaper now, only the super-trendy or super-gadgety ones attract rising prices.

I just keep my phone in the same pocket as my wallet, etc, so there isn't really anything there to damage it.

MDA vario with a screen protector. An absolute must for PDA/touch screen phones if you want them to be usable after a few months.

Its too big for a case, unless you want to wear it on you belt and look like a complete nerd
