Turn off "optimize hard drive when idle"

In windows XP, the hard drive would automatically defrag itself when the CPU was idle. Well, it was loud as hell and annoying b/c it did it ALL THE TIME, regardless of whether it was idle or not.

To solve the problem I DL'ed TweakUI from microsoft.com and there was an option in there to remove it. Super!

Well, I just "upgraded" to Vista, and I notice my hard drive is going crazy again. I figure its "optimizing" again. The problem is, there's no such thing as TweakUI for Vista

Anyone know hot to turn this off? I like to put defrag on a schedule... NOT have it go automatically when it THINKS i'm not using it.

    Thanks

Sounds like indexing to me. The more you use it the less it occurs

Hmm... I didn't think it was indexing b/c I already turned it off.

BUT only on my master drive... i forgot to disable it on my slave. Maybe that's what it was.
