Best standalone CD burning app for Vista 32bit

Well basically, I need a cd burning app that isn't too resource intensive, can take an image from a cd in the drive, can burn .iso, .bin/.cue images, and can create new images from data you select.

Used to have a version of nero on xp, went to install the latest trial to see what it was like and I was gobsmacked. It's more like a fully fledged OS now, shame really. I don't know of many vista compatible ones. Atm I have iso recorder for simple burning of images, however I need something a bit more robust really! Willing to pay for it as I make a fair amount of cds - but want something that 'just works', and no bloatware like 'Nero Home'. Seriously, it's even got a tv tuner.

I personally use Nero and during installation de-selected everything other than Nero Burning Rom. Most other cd/dvd burning apps I use or have seen only burn and create image files and dont have the option to select data from your hard drive you would like to burn to a disc like you can in Nero.

You can get hold of smaller varients of Nero like Nero Lite.
Could be as small as 13meg install for v 7.7.7

I'm not fully sure of the legality of them, as they seem to be available for free download, but if you own Nero you should be OK.

I know one problem with installing Nero and Vista in relation to WMP11 on vista and the media sharing. It does something to your registry and when you try to access your media shared on a different PC or Xbox360 via WMP11 it will not display any music even though it is shared.

This drove me mad to the point of re-installing Vista as I couldn't figure it out then I found that is Nero and there is a reg fix for it; if you need it I can point you in the right direction.

For purely burning images, I use ImgBurn every single time. For burning DVDs (note, not creating them, only burning the .vobs) I use Nero.

I use Nero 7 and Alcohol 120% on my Vista system with no issues.

Lightscribe is fully functional in Vista too, despite there being alot of issues on XP
