Configure the Vista bootloader with VistaBootPRO - Go PRO with Microsoft Windows Vista Boot Manager as mentioned
Problem with VistaBootPro (widely reported on 3.3 anyway) is that the function to change the time before the default OS loads just doesn't work. It used to work, but hasn't on any of the Vista/XP systems I set up a month or so ago, and judging by their forums at the time it wasn't working for anyone else either.

Well it's worked ok for me in the past month or so...
If not then (in Vista):
Click Start
Right click on my computer
Choose properties
Choose Advanced System settings
Advanced Tab
Settings for system startup, failure and debugging information
Now you can choose the default or change the time.

I used this guide to install XP & Vista on my new machine. Worked flawlessly even installing onto a Raid array.
They suggest using EasyBCD to modify the boot loader. This fully supports renaming the OS shown at bootup, changing the boot timeout and which OS is the default you want to load into.
