Adobe Reader will not install on My Vista 64?

I read PDF files a lot on my PC but can only do it now when i boot up in windows XP.

For some reason, when i download Adobe Reader from the site and then go to install it, it shows to egg timer for about 5 seconds and then nothing. So i click it again and it pops up with error

"Another instance of this program is already running. You cannot run multiple instances at the same time"

Any ideas????

Not a fix for the problem itself, but Foxit Reader is preferred by most.
