    Categorise Music

I always thought of myself as a pretty tidy person, and I thought my music was well organised. That was until I was forced to use iTunes.

Now all my music is sat in one pot. Which is a problem, as I'm heavily into my electronic music, but not many other folks that visit or even my housemate I live with can bare it.

So I was hoping to categorise my music into separate 'Genre' playlists, so that I can listen to music depending on my mood/guests.

My ID3 tags suck, and I'm not keen on the idea of tagging 25 thousand tracks.

Whats the best method of doing something like this?

I've thought about clearing my library, then adding my Genre categorised folders back into iTunes one by one and creating a playlist for the tracks as I go. But thats hella time consuming...

    Anyone got any suggestions?

Are there any plugins which will play music according to BPM?

If you mean filtering music by BPM I dont think that there is any at least I have not found something like that although I have been searching for some time. About the tagging if you find something PM me.

    Re: Categorise Music

Something that can automatically get and tag the BPM is - Helium Music Manager.

I've used it, it's ok once u get used to it. It moves ur files around aswell, maybe to the way u'd like (genre).
