Eset anti-virus

We have 5 computers at work on a small network, 3 run vista and the 2 lab machines use XP. We are at the time when the included Norton 360 subscription is due for renewal, i would prefer to scrap Norton and go for another security package, i have been recommended Eset but just like to gather some opinions from the hexus forums.

I have also looked at Bullguard as an option. Any help greatfully received.

I use ESET SS at home & work. Have a mix of XP & Vista x32 & x64.
Just works, no fuss

Eset is great, my dads work uses it and they seem to have no problems and i was using it for awhile(sub ran out, going free now ).

heh @ that AV comparison site - google around enough, find a good sample of 10 similar sites and the results from all will differ to a level that will guarantee you one thing and one thing only.

Norotn IS a virus. It invades your computer and wont leave without a fight.

Generally it's not great - but in real world terms Symantec/Norton AV however it's labelled outperforms just about everything in detection terms, but for home users (i.e. the off the shelf product) it's more invasive on a system than most infections are. Corporate and network installations of symantec AV are very good indeed.
