Whats up with windows 2003 server.

Hi.

My computer is running windows 2003 fine. My brothers however seems to have a lot of issues with it.

His system:
Abit KG7-RAID
gf4 mx
xp1800

If i install the graphics drivers it does not boot normally - does the loading, but before i gets to the log on bit it turns the screen off. i have to boot in safe mode, which it does with the drivers installed. If i uninstall the drivers i can boot normally

Also: the network does not seem to copy. This is win2k3 -> win2k3. my computer can copy to his with no problem in safemode. But when i try to do it when win2k3 is loaded normally it does not work.

Does anyone have any idea what is wrong?

Why are you running Win2003 on desktops?

because its fun - and i felt like a change from win2k. i turned it into desktop use as much as possible.

As it is a server program surely it should allow me to use a network!? else theres not a lot of point it being a server OS...

i have that prob with 2k and then xp.i still have the prob, ONLY mine is a bit different...i can boot without safe mode.just not first time.this always happens with a cold boot.

are you running the full version of 2003?or is it the trail?also which version, cause there are various ones on offer.

Its the trial one...but im so fed up with it being queer that im just going to install win2k pro.
