Disk Cleanup not working

Hi all wonder if someone can help me, for some reason Disk Cleanup has stopped working . Task Manager tells me it's running but it doesent do anything. My O/S is XP Home . Any help would be most appreciated thanks in advance.

i have same problem, mine just "stops" at 'calculating' and then does nothing...

I get this all the time - especially on machines that have been running Windows for a long time (the ones that need cleaning up the most ) - currently got it on w2k machine...

this seems to fix it: http://www.mcse.ms/archive64-2004-1-338138.html (deleting "Compress Old Files" registry entry from the registry).
