Alternatives for Visual Source Safe

Anyone used any alternatives to MS VSS at all here?, i'm pretty sure the linux community has probably got a few nice setups, but very interested in windows ones too.

Think i'll need to start implementing one in the next few weeks/months so wanted to get a bit of feedback first

isn't sharepoint good for docuemtn control , though I guess thats not really the same as source code control ( assuming VSS looks it a modular level ? )

I'm assuming sourcefourge works for Windows as well as Linux ?

CVS or RCS both good (I like CVS)

Lots of front ends available for all platforms, and CVS is platform indenpendant.
