Me Me Me.
I have MCSD.NET, which is comprised of 3 C# development exams, an architecture exam and SQL Server DBA exam.
The exams were ok, they are timed so you need to know your stuff. The questions were multiple choice but sometimes the choices are very close and you need to read the questions carefully. I think the DBA exam was 42 questions in 90 or 120 minutes.
If you have been working in that area (e.g With squirrel server for the DBA exam) for a while you shouldn't find them too hard.

I think Jiff is too....

Exams can be nightmarish - You can often have what looks like 4 correct answers, so you have to re-read the question as they'll be one tiny bit of information in there which makes only one of the answers correct. They're changing the format to a more adaptive style to try and battle the brain dumpers too.
If you want linkage to anything let me know
Yer I want to get MCP pretty quick, who did you do the course with, you got any books or sample exams questions etc?. Longer term i want the MCDBA qualification. But i think thats about 5 Exams worth.
I figured that its not going to be that easy, any further information Jiff would be great.

Did the exams through old employers - They paid for the exams, a single book and the rest was up to you.
MCBDA - What you need: http://www.microsoft.com/learning/mc...quirements.asp
Out of that list, I've got only got the 70-215 book (but have quite a few!). Yours to borrow if you feel thats the exam for you.
Samples? well to get a feel for the style of questions, check out http://www.braindumps.com
DON'T however, (and I know you wouldn't but your not the only person reading the post!) rely on it to give you correct answers! For those that don't know, a braindump is simply, walk into exam, pass exam then right down as many of the questions as you remember and your answers. So in theory, if your asked the same questions and give the same answers you'll pass.
I'll find the other links for you later (when I'm on my home machine) and PM them to you.
Windows 2000 professional 70-210
Windows 2000 server 70-215
Exams are not that hard really, need a bit of study.
You should be scoring pretty high on the exams in my opinion if you have been using the OS for a while but then to finish it off or alternatively just cram the braindumps from the beginning. You can do it without any study apart from braindumps but you will be rumbled pretty quickly as you wont know squat.

Ah, but the exam structure has changed - You're no longer asked the 60 questions.
It picks a subject a random, asks you a question. Answer correctly it'll ask you a tougher one on the same subject. Answer that correctly you get the really tough one on the same subject. Then moves on to new subject.
In theory, you can pass the exam answering around 15 questions.
Braindumps also rely on the other person actually knowing the right answer - I spotted plenty of incorrect answers on some of the dumps I looked at; In the end I stopped looking because I had a web page of 10 people saying "oh yeah, the answer is this" and a microsoft book, microsoft help file and technet all saying the opposite!
BTW 70-215 is server, workstation is 70-210. 70-216 is Implementing and Administering a Microsoft Windows 2000 Network Infrastructure
ooops is a while back
Didn't know they were using an adaptive format now, interesting, makes it more of a test as opposed to the rubbish that it was.
