Hi,
What's the difference between ASP 3.0 and ASP.net ?
I need to learn ASP, and was going to get a "SAMS" teach yourself ASP in 21days / 24hours book, but they have both ASP 3.0 books, and ASP.net - which would be better?
Thanks
Josh

If you download the .net SDK there's loads of examples Here
TBH I don't buy books anymore as there tend to be loads of tutorials online
You'd be better off learning ASP.NET as opposed to ASP 3.0. It'll have a longer life and it can do loads more. I'm learning it at work now, good thing it's fairly similar to classic ASP
There's a wealth of information regarding ASP.NET controls etc on http://msdn.microsoft.com but you can't beat a book for quick reference.
i think i might just get one of those ASP.net for dummies books to start with, as they're cheap (£14) and as you guys have said, there's loads of stuff on the net about it

ASP.NET is so much nicer to work with than ASP due to the seperation of the code(C# or vb.net) and the HTML. I used to hate working with ASP but not anymore with ASP.NET.
A proper debugger, intellisense, a compiler to tell you about typos....what more could a geek ask for.
