Just ordered my first DVD writer.

NEC dual layer jobbie 2510a. Now I know from reading other post that the dual layer discs are expensive at the moment.

So I was wondering what discs I should get to use with this drive in the future, I ordered a pack of Datawrite DVD-R 4x Speed 4.7gb Yellow Ritek 25 Disc In Tub to play around with when I get the drive.

Also what software should I get for writing DVD's and backing up my current DVD's?

I use nero 6 ultra edition at the moment, is this fine for DVD's?

Any site's I can look at for tutorials.

Nero should be fine with you DVD writer, just check the site for the latest update if you haven't already. There are some good guides on www.doom9.org about DVD backup
