Logon Script

Ok, just wondering if anyone can help me here, i need a logon script that will set a users home directory (doesn't really matter what language it is in!) then users home directory will be in the form of \\fileserver\public\usergroup\user so for example user alne4 should have its path set to \\fileserver\public\alne\alne4

just wondering how i would go about doing this?

yeah i know, however, there is no variable for usergroup, so a login script needs to be created
