    Question Unstable Vista

Before I restore from the recovery partition, is there anything I haven't thought of?

Toshiba Satellite A200, Vista SP2. 4GB RAM. Prone to serious slowdowns and explorer.exe crashing. I've uninstalled anything unnecessary, turned off Aero and all other visual effects. Defragged the HD, run a malware check, freed up plenty of HDD space.

So... anything else to try before I nuke and start again?
