Okay, so I have nero...but I didn't realise until a few weeks ago that it uses proprietary .nrg formats (unless you really tell it sternly not to? Haven't played much...).
Went a-hunting (wanted a "proper" iso), found a demo of Alcohol 120% (probably linked off 'ere somewhere...) http://www.alcohol-software.com/software_120.php
Very nice! Then I discovered it also does virtual cds, ie, you can mount an .iso (and .nrg and.......all the other types) as a drive. Handy.
So, end user experience- worth the £31.odd for A120% or perhaps just £21 for A52% (which is basically JUST the cd-emu bit, not the burner)? I must say, I like it, and I'm getting to the stage where I WANT to register shareware because its "the right thing to do"...but thirty quid?? Nero only cost me £25! And that came with a box and dead tree and everything!
Now, £7, £8 I don't mind....
Thoughts/reviews? Comparisons? Am I really too dull, submitting a post this long about a bit of software??
