Thank you!! I registered just so I could say that. Took me longer to register than to fix my problem.
BTW - you can start Task Manager, look under the Processes Tab for Explorer under the Windows Processes section. Right click and select "Restart". That is an easy way to test your disables in shexview.

Disable and viola, things are happy again
BTW - I tried the Restart Explorer under Options dropdown but it hung when building task bar. Ended up using Restart available under Ctrl/Alt/Del
