    Excel spreadsheet fixing tool?

    Hello,

I've used a demo of Excel Recovery which has fixed a spreadsheet which wouldn't work with mail merges in word - only problem is that it's a demo version so only fixes the first 20 rows -

does anybody know of any free recovery tools?
it's not that the excel spreadsheet is corrupt necessarily, all the records look ok, but they don't work with the mail merge.

    Thanks in advance

    Josh

i've managed to fix it - i selected all, then copied it into a blank excel document. turned the 4.5mb document into a 680kb document.

so much for these "excel fixit tools" that they charge $150 for !

All else fails, paste to notepad and back again.
