    Same here Pete.

I used XP SP2 when it was released and have had no bad side-effects at all. Yet each day I hear of people installing it at work and then having issues.

I personally like the new touches such as wireless control panel sub-applet and security centre.

It's been all good on all the 700 or so PCs I look after at work with the exception of a few that are running some custom made finance software. Id say 95% success is very good.

well it sure bu**ered dads pc
stopped all his 3 usb drives from working + printer, which he has now got working again (driver reinstall)
but he gave the usbs to me and i use them quite easily on sp2 which is really annoying him,
    i guess its just luck
although i know i got the IT specialist one or something along those lines
is this what everyone else with succes got?

yeah i have installed it on around £100 pc's that includes some 20+ different makes and 70+ different spec's & about 10 laptops where I work, not had one fail or any problems....

For home use i slipstreamed it, which gives you IMO a better install

There's no difference between the full download one you got and the WU one.

The Network install one just has all the updates for every machine, whilst the WU one customises it so it just gets the components/drivers you need for your PC.
