    XP service pack2 and media player 10

    just wondering, is media player 10 in the SP2 at all? cause I used it on my bro's computer and its pants! series 9 was way better...of course we now both use Winamp5 but what are teh 'benefits' of media player 10 supposed to be??

    SP2 comes with Media Player 9. I have 10 and I really like it, but opinions vary! There arn't many new features, it was mostly just to tidy up the interface.

    One thing I have noticed that is nice is that if you are listening to music and you watch a video (e.g streaming media) you can click on the 'resume' button and it will go back to where you were in the music. This is the only thing I have really noticed. I am sure there is more though.

    it also has support for more mp3 players etc and it can rip in mp3 instead of just wma

    oh, cause MP10 seems to stall on my bro's comp - which is quite beefy anyway! maybe t needs more...?

    I don't think MP10 needs a particularly beefy comp. It works on ThorssonPC4 - an ageing Duron.
