    Arrow Beta Testing

Does anyone know of any interesting beta testing going on?

Short thread start I know, but I've never been a beta tester before . Could be games applications anything. We could make a huge list of beta testing everywhere. Just give what the testing is for and an end date to sign up (and of course a linky ).

loads as for the microsoft ones I am currently on windows update V5/6 (woo fun ), visual studio 2005 (whidby), Windows Command Shell Preview, Application Compatibility Toolkit, and when it starts, the beta for the new media centre edtion of windows.

Started off with SP1 and SP2, and they liked me so I got onto the bigger tests also been along to a few M$ conferences which helped (got visual studio 2005 from one of those)

www.winbeta.org forums have M$ beta IDs if you want to try and signup for any of their betas.

Try www.sourceforge.org their are thousands of open source projects on there, most of them would welcome any sort of feedback.

A personal favourite of mine is SimUTrans a Transport Sim like Transport Tycoon go to http://www.simutrans.de/ the development snapshots are at http://www.simugraph.com/forum/viewforum.php?id=10

If you want to just play the game then use the stable version suggested on the site, if you want to do some serious beta testing though use the latest release, although the project is not open source there is a very strong community spirt around this game, it is available for Windows, Linux and BeOS
