I find the Windows XP SP2 firewall perfectly adequate, coupled with regular AV and spyware scans.
Another vote for sygate if you don't have SP2.

Has anyone considered a hardware firewall built into a router? Obviously theyre only useful if you are running several machines. My network uses a hardware firewall, so I'm only using the SP2 one.
I use my firewall that is built into my router, provides all the protection I need, I still have the WinXP one enabled as well.
