    windows xp question

    Hi all.
I have a "borrowed" version of windows XP installed on one of my PCs and have just bought the OEM version with the view to installing it on said PC and becoming legal again.
The question is - "Is there any way of updating an already installed suspect version of windows XP with a new legal one?" or is it a full re-install (as I suspect).

There are little programs around that you can use to change your current install's CD key. Just do that and change it to your new legit one.
