E-On Software Vue Now Free

I used this extensively over the past few years. Some images even won image of the month

However it got taken over a few years back, went to a subscription model and wasn't quite the same. I don't like paying monthly for things.

Anyway long story short, they have decided Vue 2024 will be the last version so its now completely free, you just download it, comes with a perpetual licence so no need to worry about that anymore.

Vue 23/24 is free, as is Plant Factory and all the Plant Catalogs.

Plus the rendercow nodes are unlimited so you can render on as many machines as you might have.

Lol, yes might have helped if I had of said. I assumed a lot of people remember Vue but guess not.

It's for creating landscapes, seascapes, snow, rain, sea, clouds, vegetation etc. It's actually very powerful, has been used in several feature films etc

Alas it was bought years ago, the company that bought it changed to a subscription model and they got rid of the community etc. While updates came each year and it has improved its not much different to what it was years ago.

Very nice, my son is going to be dead chuffed to get this, he's into game creation right now and this will suit his needs perfectly

It really is a great program, plus you can export the terrains etc which can be imported into other applications
