OT: can you import a CSS style sheet into MS word?

    Hello

I realise this is OT and if a mod wants to post a friendly telling off then I appologise.

I just have a really simple question that I can't figure out the answer to. And you folk seem to be pretty knowledgeable.

Question: I can't stand MS word stylesheet editer. Is there a text editor that I can use to create/modify styles? Or can I import styles created in another language?

    Cheers

You can edit css in good ol' notepad if you want. You just need to learn the basic language, which you can find tutorials on loads of web pages, just google it.

Personally i use dreamweaver. great web developing software

    any help?

    hey

cheers for the reply. the thing is i CAN use css, but i can't use that sodding windows stlyesheets. what i want to do is write my stylesheets in css or similar and import them into word and then somehow "lock" word down so it never uses anything other than the stylesheets i use (in the document i am writing).

    thanks anyway.

Which version of word are you using. You can probably do what you are asking in VBA and using templates. I have some experience of working with Word./VBA but not really used CSS stylesheets either with word or not. Are you talking about when you save a doc as a html page, what stylesheet does it use for the html output?
