    MSN in Red Hat??

    Just installed Red Hat 9 and dont really know much about Linux, Partly why I installed it. Just wondering how To get MSN messenger in Linux. Microsoft dont do a version by the looks of things. Is it possible?

    Ok. Ignor the first bit, Just realised that probably involved you recomending warez and thats against the terms and conditions. I have downloaded dMSN. It is a .bin file, How do I install?

    edit : I realise how much of a NewB I sound. Every one has to start some where though

    edit 2 : Doesnt matter. I worked it out.

    Gaim is pretty good. You'll need to install the MSN plugin. No fancy features or owt, but it does the trick for chatting and the odd emoticon

    gMSN Has slowed my computer down to a halt and stuff so Im having to get rid of it. Advice to any one looking for a client. Dont use it. I'll try gAIm with plug in.

    There used to be a chat client called everybuddy for nix, am not sure if it is still about but it is worth a try. It was a bit like trillian and could do multiple logins to multiple services at the same time.

    amsn is also pretty good if you only need msn functionality

    I use aMSN in Mandrake - works well enough!

    its a little basic though, and it wont work in a few weeks when M$ change the network to msn 6 only
