    Bittorrent Client?

    Hey guys,

Just wondering what client you guys are using?

I used to use burst which was great and simple..
Then used azereus which was v.resource consuming!
And i now use abc but some torrents seem to make my pc randomly restart

I use the 3.4.2 version of 'BitTorrent'. It is old, and opens each download in its seperate window. Sure, for some this may be annoying, but as I only download the odd file or two, I find it much more managable and simplistic

I use Sharezaa, never had any problems. Seems to work on loads of p2p networks. Works as an ed2k and gnutella client too.

I like Azureus cos I have 2GB of RAM and a big page file

I also have Java locked down so it doesn't escape (whips are always useful)

Yep another Azureus user here, even with more than adequete system resources it still slows everything down.

Aside from the restarts how do you find ABC in comparison to Azureus as I want to try another BT client but am just so used to Azureus.

Azureus user here, but as Pyle said it uses Java, and eats resources like an obese McDonalds addict

There's a few up-and-coming C++ clients which feature queueing and mangement like Azureus but last time I looked (a few months back) they were all in early stages. I might well have another look around because, as someone said, azureus eats systems alive regardless of RAM available. JAVA has it's place in the world, but not as a 'compact' download client.

Well i uninstalled it and reinstalled haven't been getting any restarts!
I used azereus for a couple of months but got frustrated when i had to restart to play a game! So i use abc now, in my opinion it has all the features of azereus without the extreme use of resources, one thing i did miss about azereus is the test port when i was setting it up. But i suggest you at least give it a try! Best one i've found so far!
