Open Office - anyone using it?

Anyone using Open Office? I'm not as I work a lot with VBA. Is there a similar scripting available in Open Office?

It doesn't have a VBA equivalent AFAIK, which is one of the major stumbling blocks to people moving over to it IMHO.

I have installed it on Linux and Windows and it is pretty good. It does what you want, and is fairly simple.

On the whole the M$ Office filters for loading and saving to M$ format are VERY good. I have yet to encounter a file that would not open in OpenOffice...

It does have a scripting language, StarBasic although I've never used it.

There's more info on StarBasic and other programming/api stuff at the links below.
