    Access Reports - help....

    Lo all,

I've only been working at my new workplace for 3 weeks, and I've (kind of) got a promotion! It will be temporary for 2-3 weeks, and if I show that I can do what I'm asked to do, then I will get a permanent contract in that dept.

Basically, I've got the opportunity to work in the field of work which I would like to progress into, and also make a career out of.

However, during the meeting I had with my soon to be boss in the other dept he said that I will be using/building etc Reports in Access.

I've used Access in the past (A-Level ICT 1 year ago) but not much since.

During my A-Level I didnt use the Report function within Access a great deal, so I will need a tutorial of some kind to refresh my memory and get me head around it.

I will be starting this Monday (27th).

So..... has anyone got any GOOD links to help me learn / advance my skills in Access, especially in Reports...

    Cheers in advance.

    Nick

PS if anyone's got anything worthwhile give me an email or PM me ASAP. Even if you think it will only help a little!

I just had a quick ganders on teh MSDN for Access Reports http://search.microsoft.com/search/r...eports&c=0&s=1

And as far as I can tell an Access Report is basically some VBA that runs a report and then displays the results in a format determined in your VBA.

This basically amounts to running a SQL statement and then displaying the results on screen.

Sound like your trying to convince yourself?

Why not get a book? if u dont want to by one then borrow one from a friend or a library.

Have a glance at some samples and/or the online help system. Reports are pretty straight forward, but understandably daunting. If you can use Publisher then chances are you'll be fine with Access Reports.
